On my constant quest for the quirky, I stumbled on an article on the BBC website about the Tartan of Holland. Being Dutch, this obviously attracted considerable attention and I decided to pop an email off to the Scottish designer, Dr David Wishart from St Andrews University. He was just back from the Dutch Whisky Festival, held in the city of Leiden, where the Tartan was officially presented.

David, no doubt after reading about Chardonnay Panel Tasting, sent me this photograph showing Wolf Blass, President of IWSC (The International Wine and Spirit Competition) 2005 (right) presenting the Distiller of the Year Trophy to Robert Hay, Brand Ambassador for Glenlivet (centre). The photo was taken during the IWSC award presentations in London on November 1st, 2005.
